Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Exclamation 02-05 WRX Headers on EBAY

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Megan...51938386QQrdZ1

Any feedbacks on these headers?

i heard that most aftermarket headers were built or based around the 2.2/2.5L.. and when placed on the 2.0L.. you'll actually end up losing some chunk of your low end?

I don't know specifically about those Megan Racing headers but most turbo headers for the WRX are sized to work fine on both the 2.0 liter and 2.5 liter engines, since the 2.0 is what many companies used for development work both here in the U.S. and in Japan. Granted, if the peak power moved up in the RPM range for the EJ20, the larger displacement will move lower using the same header but it's still going to be a gain.

A lot of the guys rave over the Gruppe-S headers but I don't have 'em myself. The Megan Racing product is stainless but I think Gruppe-S offers theirs with a thermal coating to retain more heat the way the factory manifolds do, thereby maintaining high exhaust gas velocity and more mid-range boost.

I put the Gruppe-S V2 header on my wrx and I didn't notice any decrease in low end power. I'm happy with the power it made. However, when I had my 3" Stromung catback, it sounded raspy once I put on the header so I sold the Stromung and got an Apexi GT-Spec. Just be warned, the sound changes slightly and if you're as picky as me...you're going to want a resonator somewhere in there...hope that helps with your decision.
