Vishnu Stage 0 Problem
Guys, I need your help with this one.
I’m a current Vishnu Stage 0 owner that came with piggyback (Unichip) and Sparks plugs
Recently I brought my car to the dealership for my 30000 miles inspection and also they had to take a look at a reoccurring P0457 CEL problem.
Before doing that, I called Vishnu and asked them about the kind of spark plugs I should ask my dealer to replace the current ones with.
Their answer was that the stock one will do the job. They told me that they were selling it at the beginning for safety purposes and we don’t need those anymore.
So I brought the car to the dealership.
They did my 30000 miles inspection and they replaced the spark plugs with the stock one.
To fix my CEL P0457 problem they said that the solenoid hose purge was disconnected and they reconnected it.
Since that trip to the dealer ship, I’m experiencing several flashing CEL. When this happens, if I leave my foot on the gas they stop blinking, but if I remove my foot the CEL will stop blinking and goes solid. I pulled up the following code P0301, P0302, P0303 which are misfire codes in cylinder 1, 2 and 3.
I also noticed that the problem doesn’t seem to occur when my gas tank is full. Its starts when it’s around one quarter.
One other thing I noticed is that the problem seems to occur when I’m at 3/4 throttle full boost around 2500-3000 RPM
I must add that since my trip to the dealer ship, there has been no more P0457 problems that used to occur all the time.
My question is, should I be worried by those flashing cells, do I need to replace my spark plugs with better ones if yes which model should I go with?
Unfortunately I’m low in cash right now so going with a reflash ECU is not a solution for me right now.
Thanks a lot,
Benoit

Sounds like the standard Unichip stuff. From looking at the waveforms posted by Vishnu, the Unichip does not re-create the crank angle sensor signal accurately enough. Supposedly this is what induces the misfire error codes. From what I understand, there is no risk associated with the errors. It's just annoying. Changing your spark plugs will not improve the situation.
