Turbo XS U-tech
I just picked up a Utech from Turbo XS and was wondering about adjusting the boost on it. It comes with an AUX boost controller and its capable of adjusting the boost internally. I Had a high performance boost controller before the utech installed in my wrx and it was running about 15.5 psi.
After I took it out and put the utech and the AUX boost controller in it dropped like a rock, My question to all you Utech owners is that when you adjust your boost do you do it with the AUX bost controller or do you do it internally, and if you do do it through the u-tech what number setting usually makes 15.5 psi or 16psi on your set up?

Hope this helps some. Althoug I do not have a UTEC I am strongly considering one as my first mod.

At the moment it doesn't offer that much flexibility but it's definitely in the works. Next thing to be released as a software upgrade will be the launch control I believe.
EDIT: While in open loop boost mode you're going to be adjusting with the ABC.

I'll just stick to the Unichip for now untill i save the coin for some thing better, but for the Unichip is flexable enough that i can do launch conrol and flat shifting. Granted it's not as easy to use as the Utech but that wasn't around when i bought the Unichip.
Thanks for the info,

Aux. Boost Controller.
Incidently.. the unichip does have that nasty hesitation when the stock ECU switches over from open to closed loop. If you've already got one, it's not such a big deal, but if you haven't bought one yet my suggestion would be to save the cash until you can afford a better engine management system. There is a reason a lot of people are unloading the unichips right now.
