I do not know about this.
I have ordered the nex system and I am going to start with a 50 hp shot of nos. I t will take me about two weeks to get all together.
Thanks for replying and I will get in touch when all is done.
I really like my car. I am 59 years old and have alot of neat cars, but this is the most fun I have had in a long time.
I traded a WRX in on the STI.
Thanks

STi should handle a 50 shot fine, since the WRX can. Remember to turn the boost down when you start because the N2O will raise it up a few lbs.
Good Luck, and keep us updated on the resluts.

For boost control you can use a manual boost controller(MBC) or a electronic (EBC). MBC you install if the engine compartment and have to pop the hood and dial in your boost, gets real old fast. EBC is mounted right there next to you and you can dial in your boost via a couple of buttons.
I would first consider your long term goals for the car. If you plan to just spray a 50 shot then you can get away with just a MBC or EBC but if you plan on uprgrading the car further I would look into some form of management. With the UTEC you can control boost, timing, and fuel....have seperate maps(N2O map, street map, race gas, etc...) This would be the safest way to spray. Check it out www.turboxs.com
I have found that the N2O will raise the boost about 2psi, so I would start at 12 psi and spray and see how much it rises and then work your way up to a max of 14.5-15. Not sure exactly what the STi can handle stock.

also are any of you guys experiencing any pinging or det like other STi owners. If you are I would hold out on mods incase there is a recall. you never know.
