reflash question
i'm just curious how much power people have gotten from a reflash with an upipe downpipe and catback. Currently I have a helix up-pipe and downpipe and soon a catback (haven't picked one yet) I wanna reflash my ecu so I can get the maximum amount of power with my stock turbo. So I was just wondering how much power people have gotten from that setup with a reflash(uppipe, downpipe, catback)

Just had my 04 wrx reflashed by Prodrive at thier stage 2.
The end muffler, pre intercooler hose and mid pipe without a cat wich comes with the kit made just a little performance boost. It was the re-flash wich made all the difference! Huge difference!
Roughly 25%or so increase in smoother power and torque, 'Prodrives stats', especially at lower rpm and lasting up to 6k. I will be adding an up pipe soon for a tad more perk up.
Get the re-flash! With my boost gauge I can see how they managed the boost, I comes on sooner, lasts a bit longer, and had for me, almost a pound increase in 2nd and 3rd. I see 16pounds peak in fourth gear! We have a steep hill wich we climb up on our bikes. My car in 3rd pulled hard and kept accelerating, let off at 70!

Oh I think the Prodrive stats have their stage 2 with no up pipe at a minimum of 211hp at the wheels! their group comes tuned for their components using the stock downpipe and up pipe.
I called around a bit and was assured the up pipe would not adversly affect the tune or its reliability! Most agreed it would add a little performance with the security of eliminating the possible harmful 1st cat.

I have an 02 WRX with a STI upipe, TXS DP/catpipe, Stromung cat back and a Cobb (accessport) stage 2 reflash and my car pulls like a ****. Cobb's dyno shows 224 hp at the wheels http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/images/ae-stage2-dyno.jpg and it would only cost you around $600 for the accessport http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/accessport.html.
IMO Cobb and Vishnu are the best for an off the shelf map but if you want to get everything possible out of your car you should go with a dyno/ street tune. Here is a link to Vishnu http://www.vishnutuning.com/stage.htm.
Since you are looking for a cat back you may want to check out FLASH N DASH they carry Stromung and Brian is very helpful. Here is a link https://www.i-club.com/forums/engine-drivetrain-158/stromung-exhausts-look-no-further-best-deals-around-61428/.
