Questions about UTEC boost levels

I have a question...(stage 4 +)
I was told that my ABC was all the way open, and I am hitting about 17.5 psi. But in Hight rpms, I get hesitation and flashing cel. Should I close the ABC a little, to get rid of this?

From what I remember reading on www.wrxhackers.com, youre only going to want the ABC open 2-3 turns, and increase boost the rest of the way with the UTEC boost control. I know that on my car I have to have the ABC open 4-5 turns and CLB values in the 375 range to get 16psi on the stock turbo.
However I have a feeling that my stock solenoid is going out on me, as I wasnt making full stock boost after removing my MBC about a month ago.
