Perrin mbc on 05 Saab 9-2x (was: Noob Question)

So After I bought my car, 05 Saab 9-2x, My buddy gave me a perrin mbc he had laying around. Now I am planning to purchase accessport, but untill then I am just going to hook up the mbc and see what happens. My question is, how do I seize the factory boost management that tees into where I place the mbc. Any help would be great, and I know I shouldn't use the mbc, but why not....Thanks

The use of a manual boost control valve on a factory turbo engine is a no-no without custom tuning to go along with it. Most custom tunes rely on the factory boost control for reliability.

Hooking up an mbc will net you impressive throttle response with boost coming on much sooner but even with peak boost set just a little bit higher than stock can lead to trouble down the road. The factory ECU will not properly compensate for the additional boost gain with needed fuel and ignition advance changes. In a worst case scenario, you could be climbing a long mountainous grade under full-boost at part-throttle and end up with severe internal engine damage from a lean condition.

Get the AccessPORT or other proper engine management. Forget the mbc.
