Octane Disaster?

I'm a moron.

I committed a mortal sin and let someone else fill the gas at a stop on a roadtrip. Problem is, the person filling used 89 octane when I wasn't looking!!

Is this going to cause knocking or can I get by with just filling in 91 at half full?

Do I need to put octane boost in or is 89 going to be OK??

I keep reading about knocking and engine damage, but is the difference between 89 and 91 really going to bust the turbo up???

Thanks for listening.

what are your mods? If you are stock I would just stay away from WOT until you empty 1/2 the tank, then fill with 93 octane.

If you are modded with ECU reflash, i would stay away from boost, WOT and 5500+ rpms. Until you empty half the tank.

Sounds like it's time for a highway road trip
