If you want to tune it yourself, there's the UTEC. Using Search function will find numerous references to the UTEC.
COBB Tuning offers the AccessECU re-flash, with many off-the-shelf tuning maps to choose from. There are also maps for CA gasoline and other states' 93-octane fuel.
Just now shipping (pre-orders first) is COBB's AccessPORT, which allows the end user to remap their own ECU without having to ship it to a facility for a re-flash.
The EcuTek re-flash works great but you might consider getting a custom tune from a local shop with a dyno, so they can compensate for that aftermarket intake.
There are maps from COBB Tuning (AccessECU and AccessPORT) and Vishnu Performance (EcuTek) that work with the VF30/VF34, uppipe, and the catless turbo back exhaust, but not an intake (see thread on intakes debate in WRX Powerplant forum).
With proper engine management, you can move away from those third-party boost controllers and supply proper fueling at the same time.

well, if you ditch the intake, BOV, and AVCR and install al walbro pump and STi injectors you'd be a perfect candidate for the Cobb stage 2.5 reflash. with a reflashed ecu whether it's a cobb reflash or a EcuTek reflash, you will notice a much smoother powerband and your car will be much more fun to drive.

I talked to a Cobb tuning tech and I have an AEM cai. He said they recomend going back to the stock intake because the AEM doesn't give the MAF sensor consistant readings.
