i'd go with an aftermarket, programmable ECU instead. the STi runs differant fuel injectors that with a higher flow rate, so you'll definitely have problems there. also. i seem to recall that that JDM STis run variable valve timing, so the ECU probably wouldn't like your stock US spec cams. there are just too mant differances between the two motors to make it a straight swap, and to see performance gains. i'd suggest that you take a look at the EcuTek units. i can't imagine that they're that much more than an STi black box. just my $.02
