Question K&N Typhoon Intake-Is It Worth It?

from www.subaruwrxparts.com states

K&N Typhoon Intake
A free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to provide cooler, denser air to the engine for increased performance. It is a direct replacement for the restrictive OEM air box and inlet tract. All Typhoon Air Intake Systems come with a reusable conical K&N Filtercharger element backed by the company's exclusive Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Price:$285.00

is this worth the money?

Cold-air intakes. Unless your WRX is highly modified, the stock intake has not proven to be restrictive.

A lot of ads for intakes, short rams, and the like are just hype to talk you into buying a pretty piece of tubing.
