Just sent out my ECU for Cobb Reflash...
Okay All,
I just got back from sending out my ECU for the Cobb AccessECU reflash stage 2. I've heard nothing but positive feedback about the reflash so I can't wait for Wednesday to get here. If you have the reflash, post up your results. On wednesday I'll post my results and impressions of the Reflash.

WOW, Holy crap the car is just a different beast. First off the car is much smoother than I thought and you really don't notice the speed until you look at the gauges and you can see that you are almost pushing triple digits without even trying. My car will still be learning for the next week or so and I have no issues with the restrictor hose like some people do. I am already seeing full boost 15.8 or so in second gear. Maybe my gauge is off, but my @ss dyna says my car is way faster and not as jerky as it used to be. By far this is the best Mod for the money, End of story.

Very cool. I am soon to have a turbo back and IC hoses. If Cobb ever gets the AccessPort out, I will go with the Stage II for 93 octane.
If not, I imagine that I could let go of my ecu for a few days if I really get impatient.
Have fun with your new rocket!

yea, the boost is nice and constant. No worries about spiking or any other negative issues. Now i am adding hoses and other things of that nature. eventually i'll add an uppipe as well.

Haven't done an 1/4 mile time yet. Mainly cause I want to finish my engine before I make a run. By finish i mean the smaller things like hoses and such. But Once I do I'll Post it up.

ok...
I am also debating if I also want to go this route but am not sure if the extra money for tunning would be worth it. The list of parts that the ecu would be tunned for are as follows:
vf 22
turbo xs fmic
sti injectors w/manifold (no tumble valves)
walbro fuel pump
kakimoto cat back
cusco dp
hks up
gt spec manifold
samco turbo inlet pipe
blitz sus air element
I rode with a friend that has a stage two from them and all I gotta say is WOW absolutely WOW. His car doesnt have that stutter that it use to and it pulls really hard across the power band, but I would like to incorporate the parts listed above into that WOW factor but dont wann be left behind because my car could not handle the tune (ie stock pistons melting or stock rods desintegrating). Is there anyone that has done a custom map with Cobb that could fill me in?

trust me, its badass! i speak frome xperience my friend reliabilitly and peace of mind is what gives the Cobb AECU its prowess, but if you want to squeeze more power with different mods i suggest UTEC... until the access tuner and more tuners have the AECU that is

btw
the boost hits early correct? and at 14 psi in 1st, is what I hear, does it gradually come to 14 like the stock car? or does it hit right close to 14 and stay all the way to red line?
thanks

The Only way to hit full boost in first gear is to floor it to redline, if you don't floor it you'll get to 10-11 psi, very easily. And yes it stays at full boost all the way to red line, maybe tapers off at about 6700 rpm.
