you may want to go to the factory turbo column and ask this question, but i will give you my take on it just the same.

i think most people usually end up changing out the downpipe for an aftermarket one w/o the cat in it. same goes for the mid-pipe. you get rid two of the restrictive cats and replace them with a single high-flow cat (or not at all), plus your are getting bigger exhaust as well in most cases.
