Nothing will "cancel" the re-learning capabilities short of replacing your WHOLE ECU.


A piggyback is something that interprets your stock signals and changes them to a particular offset. There is no way the eManage is exempt from the ECU algorithm

Ok. The thing that makes an E-manage more effective than an AFC for a 2001 (which just isn't effective) is that it adds fuel by directly adjusting the injector duty cycles as oppose to simply modifying the MAF signal, which the AFC does and which causes the ECU to gradually relearn. In this sense, the E-Manage is AFAIK, indeed a good solution for 00-01 RSs. Search around for more info, including on other club sites.
