How is this "engine managment" related?
But you should start with uncorking your exhaust for starters. An uppipe can do wonders. Got a bit of cash? Get a downpipe too. With no catalytics in place expect some 20HP more power and much more driveability.
Then look into getting some gauges and a boost controller. Crank up the boost a tad!
Oh and dont forget TIRES! New performance tires can transform jsut about any car into a canyon carver! Well not exactly, but it's a big help in grip and braking.
