ecu switch out or stand alone
i was talking to the local speed boys and i was wondering if a 1994 turbo legacyecu will fit in a 1995 2.2l legacy i just turboed my 95 and it is having trouble coping with its new friend the turbo. plus it is ideling funny standard aftermarket crap. my plan is 2 fold replace the injectors mas airflow censor and ecu with the turbo legacy's ecu. is that possible? any body know
also i am looking at a standalone system for my eventual rise to corvette killer
the system that the local speed shop in boise goes with is SDS
sIMPLE DIGITIAL sySTEMS ANY Bbody heard any thing about these guys?

You're making this a bigger prob. than it has to be by using a Legacy turbo ECU. The ECU pin locations are different, so your harness won't hook up with the ECU.
Option 1: Find a Legacy turbo ECU and harness. Splice and dice the wires you need, and the ones you don't. On an impreza, this takes almost 40hrs!!
Option 2: Stand-Alone Engine Management. i-speedusa.com is coming out with a new completely plug and play stand-alone ecu. Check it out at www.hydraems.com
Do it right the first time, or you'll just limp for a while, and then kill your engine.
