Dastek piggyback???

Dastek piggyback???
I bought my 04 sti and found out that there was a dastek piggyback underneath the floor in front of the passenger seat. I have never heard of this piggyback system. Has anyone heard of this system? Or does anyone know where I can find info on it. Thanks.
