cobb engine check light on, pls help! P0244

Cool cobb engine check light on, pls help! P0244

hey guys,

Wat does this code means: P0244 Turbo Wastegate Selenoid "A" Range/Performance

Mods:

fp18g
STI TMIC
Stock injectors
invidia catted downpipe
HKS Hi-power catback
RA sti tranny 5 speed

Currently milage: 16,xxx

i was driving normally on the freeway and decided to WOT in 5th gear. i felt like a hesitation (i guessing a fuel cut) CEL came on with P0244

You over boosted and hit fuel cut (the fuel to the engine got cut off because the boost went higher then the limit set in the ECU). Your wastegate probably was not able to evacuate enough exhaust to prevent this.

ok, i believe is the weather. it get cold here and foggy here in california, right now its fine. the CEL went out by itself! anybody experience this? i have no more CEL!

it is completely normal for 06-07 WRX to get boost creep......especially in colder weather & in 5th gear at low load(ie: low rpm, WOT)...

CELs usually go away if the problem has been resolved. Some of them require a number of successful stop/start cycles. If you google, you can find reference sheets describing the CEL #s and how they are set/cleared.
