cali accessport map! awesome!
I only just recently changed from the stage 1 map to the california stage 1 map... I was sceptic that I'd notice a difference... but, the difference is huge!!!

AccessPort Page and Map List, includes CA maps
I put in the stage 2 CA map recently (as opposed to their 91 octane map), seems a little smoother running. Probably not the ULTIMATE power of a dyno tune, but it is nice to be able to switch maps in under 20 seconds without having to goto aftermarket ECU hardware

hmm... interesting. In theory, the cali map should make slightly less power than the standard 91 octane maps.... Maybe you're feeling a difference simply because you reset your ECU when you switch maps?

vaus : if I had to guess, I was getting some knock retard (and thus, timing pulled out = less power) on their 91 octane map. New map = no knock retard, since it is a little more conservative.
percula : it can read SOME codes, and reset the ECU to clear codes. If you are looking at running an exhaust that would set a code with the stock ECU (i.e. catless), then you'd need to run one of their maps that is set up for a modified exhaust (i.e. has those codes turned off, like their stage 2 maps)

The latest Cal map made a huge difference in my 04. Using the stage 1 map no matter which rev the car pinged and had the weird jerky off throttle thing that 04's have. Since I loaded the lates Cal map no more pinging and throttle response is smooth as could be. It may have slightly less power, hard to tell with the butt dyno, but it has better driveability. I'm very happy with the map.

I DID download both to my accessport but only ended up using the base map. I've found that it takes at least 1 week (which is 800+ miles for me) for the car to become fully acquainted with the new map. I really couldn't imagine using a real time map anymore for performance purposes. I don't think you could get the gains (although I could be wrong)... and furthermore, the base map has some tuning that the real time doesn't
