Blitz Boost controller - 04 STI
Is there going to be an inherant benefit to using this unit on an 04 STI?
The fellow that is proposing to sell this to me says that they can get another .5 bar of boost safely out of the STI.
Is this possible, and what kind of power will be seen with only .5 bar increase?

hmm, I don't know much about the sti engine and what it can handle. But 0.5 bar is about 7psi. If the STI come stock with 14 like a wrx then you are looking at like 21psi. If the sti can handle it then go for it. But from my knowledge I would doubt that the STi has strength to handle it. But I could be wrong.

Roughly 10HP per psi of boost. But there is no real way to measure. Also PSI is not an indicator of performance.
Also for your STi, you cannot raise the boost all the much short of 1-2psi more. It's already running pretty ragged at the edge as it is. Your best bet is to open up the exhaust system first, then start looking into some sort of ECU reflash
