silverfox1 - Hey I talked to Stromung and they don't make an Intermediate Pipe that would fit the stock rear muffler section. Their Intermediate pipe is all 3in and you need a pipe that will taper down to 2.5in. I am looking into a company that makes an Intermediate pipe that starts out 3in then has a flex joint and then tapers down to 2.5in so it will bolt upto the stock muffler section. So I will let you know what I find out about this deal. Or you can always go with the full Turbo Back exhaust. What they have found when you go 3in all the way and then use the stock rear muffler it shows that it causes a lot of back pressure that is not needed or wanted. Just to let you know. So maybe now you have enough info to make a well informed decision on what it is you need to get. I hope this helps!
On a side note...Stromung has been doing a lot of dyno testing for the WRX and STI and have found that when it came to the STI they found higher HP numbers when they went with a DP without the separated wastegate. Don't ask me why but the numbers don't lie. So I would recommend that...there is no difference in the price but the numbers are different.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Brian

silverfox1 - Yeah since the OEM WRX/STI piping is all 2.5in then if you were to get the Stromung 2.5in it would mate upto the rear muffler section. Just out of curiousity why are you wanting to keep the stock rear muffler?? Anyways I can't get the DP ceramic coated not that you would need it. The exhaust pieces are perfect just the way they are. It is an unnecessary procedure.
Now for the 2.5in Catless DP, 3rd Cat Eliminator pipe, and Intermediate pipe it would be $535 shipped!
Let me know what you think! This setup would work with your stock rear muffler!
Thanks,
Brian

hi !you quoted me $535 shipped for the 2.5dp race pipe and intermediate pipe for my 04 sti.if i just get the dp now and the other two latter what will the price be on just the dp?what is the prices for each pipe separately and does this setup eliminate all the cats and what are the cel issues with this setup? if you can give me a better price on the three pipes together than that may be incentive to purchase together!!thanks ! siverfox1

will98rs - Hey I am not understanding the two things that you are wanting to order. You want a catback for a 98 RS and what else? A cat?...cat back for WRX?? Let me know the exact two things you want and I will give you a better deal for the two if this is the case. I don't have any pics of the exhaust on a GC8 model. There is no CEL problems with a cat back. They do come with all hardware and gaskets needed to install.
Please let me know if you have any other questions! I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Brian
