yep Brian is a great vendor.. I order all my parts from him =)

Anyway, I just got the bov, it's pretty loud... not as loud as the txs, but I'll live... and it looks great too!

Only thing is, it seems to release only high boost, the hks used to release low boost as well. I believe all I have to do is play around w/ the **** for spring tensioning? My question is, what setting did you set the **** on the top of the bov to.... It doesn't seem to come with good instructions on what setting to adjust the **** to.

I just installed my BOV dis past weekend n its great.....however i did notice one change in my car tho. These past coupla days, at least once a day, my car would choke badly to start up. The engine was cold but da cold engine start-up never choked this badly before. I litterally kept the key turned for 3 seconds for it to even start up. Is it the BOV? Do i need to adjust the spring again? Tighten? Loosen? I have it turned about 5 rotations from the loosest setting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

mike626 - Hey glad that you like it!! Yeah this BOV shouldn't affect the start up like that but it wouldn't hurt to just try and dial it down a notch to see if it affects it. I am running the Hybrid at 100% atmosphere and I have never had any problems with the cold start ups. Let me know how it works out!!

actually no... they have different part numbers stamped on the face, and i'm fairly certain the spring is softer on the sti one from pushing on the diaphram.

i wish i could prove this but i've since sold both for some time now

but my gfb bov is in the mail somewhere out there on a slow donkey cart...
