Question Xcceleration Performance Stage 2 kit

Has any purchased this kit for the STi or seen it in use on an STi? If so , did it seem to be good output for the price of roughly $3000.00 depending on the use of the cats. The stage 2 kit is claimed 430hp - 340 w.h.p./ 455ft/lb. Is it reliable or does it seem to be a quality kit.Thinking of adding it on my STi and need to know if I'm wasting my money. If there is a better kit out there.....who makes it and costs?

I suggest take each individual part they offer and find a similar product and compare pricing. The have an advantage of the catted exaust but remember those horspower numbers can not be at all real. Numbers like that will net you in the mid 11 sec 1/4 mile! With that said, the stock turbo is maxing out very easy and overspins with only a catback and intake, not to mention bad boost creep at part throttle to 3/4th throttle. Not good, creating very lean conditions! The fuel injectors are in stock trim also near maxed out so you can only imagine that It would be very difficult to net those actual #s. Maybe 320+ at best. Check around and do your reserch. They do have Quality exaust but well I just think you need to make sure you know what you are in for.

I don't care who you are, you can't make that much power on a stock VF39. Period. It's too small.

Here's i-Clubs version of those Nasioc threads (the last post links to over there). Xcelleration.com is selling snake oil.

Sorry If I offended anyone but sure, do the math is right. I just am suggesting since most people are seeing boost taper at higher rpm's in the STI with the stock turbo plus the numerus posts of injectors already nearly maxed out etc.....
stock is what 250+ or _ Turbo back+20hp without cats CIA+5hp and tuning to max efficiency of the turbo (truely 18.5psi then tapers at high rpm if your wast gate works right) ====70 to 100hp all gains at the wheels so you get what over 500hp at the motor on stock turbo? Sorry just try it your self, I only cary an estomated opinion from what I have learned from research.

You said it yourself- never dynoed the car, never taken it to the track. What basis do you have for claiming it makes 435 hp? I've watched a lot of cars with LARGER turbos get dyno tuned, and they don't make 435 at the crank. You and your friends are full of crap on this power claim.

Let's see a scanned time slip. I'd like to see a trap speed to verify the power of this kit.

Xcceleration.com kits for the WRX and STi. All of their WRX and STi kits use a piggyback Unichip - welcome to 2002 technology. They also use a manual boost controller. Nice setup for that occasional full-boost at part-throttle condition that can lead to excessively high exhaust gas temperatures.
