WRX vs. Everyone

So how do a lot of today's cars stack up against the REX?

I haven't had a chance to go up against a lot of these cars and I've been curious

BMW M Roadster (supped-up Z3)
BMW Z4
BMW M3
Nissan 350Z
Porsche Boxter
Honda S2000
Acura RSX type-S
Ford Mustang GT
Chevy Camaro Z28 / Pontiac Trans Am
Mazda 6
Lexus IS300

Also, what kind of improvements to the REX take it to the next level over some of these cars?

I'm learning!

A WRX can handle both the Mazda 6 and Mustang GT and should be able to take the RSX, I am not sure about the rest of them. I am speaking stock for stock

well first of all I'm pretty sure its cheaper than all of those. Performance is either comprable or better. None of those are AWD too. The improvements a regular WRX needs is power (the beemers are except for the Z4 all make over 300 hp), brakes (the 350z track comes with brembos) and some suspension mods since a stock WRX only pulls .86 on the skidpad (if I remember correctly).

STi vs all those cars...thats a fair comparison...the wrx can take some of them...its basically already been mentioned...but get an STi to go up against them at the track..that would be fun to watch...

The WRX can hang with most of them.

BMW Z4 vs WRX.....Z4 stands no chance
BMW M Roadster would walk all over us I believe.
M3 would destroy us.
350z vs WRX......might be a good race but I'm sure we'd lose.
Porche Boxster would destroy us.
S2000 vs WRX.....another good race. Not sure of the outcome.
RSX Type S vs WRX.....WRX will win with equally skilled driver.
Mustang GT vs WRX......drivers race
Z28 vs WRX.....might be a good race. Not sure.
Trans Am vs WRX......depending on what model would depict the outcome.
Mazda 6 vs WRX.....the 6 will lose
IS300 vs WRX.....WRX will walk away from the Lexus

350z, yeah we'd loose
porsche boxster...it only has 225 hp last i checked(non s)...so i dont know...it cant keep up w/ a z so maybe not w/ us either
s2000-us probably
mustang-with equal drivers, probably us
z28...wasnt that discontiued in 2000?
trans am is kinda slow as far as i remember...
the rest i agree w/ jdmpwrdr on

This is from personal experience, and some general thought. My subie is modded no cats, injen intake, Apexi exhaust, 9.5lb flywheel, ACT, and dropped some weight.
I beat a S2000 by about half a car
Killed a few RSX type S's
Mustang GT or V6 arnt even fun
Ran with a Camaro SS, (T/A WS6) from 80 up to the govenor through traffic with four other cars, I was ahead of the SS and a C4 vette
A Camaro SS or WS6 would whoop on us from the line 325hp
Beat tons of early 90's Camaros and T/A's
Think the 350Z would win, I drove my bro's TT300ZX and that is faster than us
The non-M BMW's are slow, driven many Z3's
Boxters are quick more rwhp than us, lighter, more areodynamic
The IS300 w/ a manuel would be better than with the auto, we would most likely win. It has the renowned 2JZ (old Supra motor) watch out there are turbo kits for them = 4 door Supra Turbo.
Stay away from Grand Nationals they will own you!
In a few of these instances it will depend on the driver.

Nick
