Is Vishnu's performance times accurate?
I was just wondering if vishnu's performance times correct. For example they state that a stage 1 which includes a turboback exhaust, up-pipe, power pulley, and re-mamped ecu can produce 300-310 hp and can run 4.3-4.5 0-60 and 12.9-13.3 1/4 mile. Do these times seem accurate?

alright thanks, i only ask because there was a recent issue of sport compact car magazine where they were testing several tuned wrx to the sti, and one of the cars had exactly the same amount of power that a vishnu stage 1 puts out, but they had it running a 5.2 0-60 and a 13.6 1/4 mile. I just wanted to make sure that if i go ahead and purchase a stage 1 upgrade, that im getting what they say i will.

Me too
I am about to purchase the stage 1 kit from Vishnu as well. Well, everything but the pulleys, I have this fear of hot AC and a low battery. From what I have seen around the tracks here a ECU, up pipe, and TBE is worth about a 13.4-13.8 @ 99-101 mph 1/4. Maybe the pulleys do something that I am not aware of or it was really cold when they tested.

Dont forget that the STi is a complete package. Acceleration is only one part of the equation. remember braking and suspension are also important.
If speed kills, then brakes must give life; as the old adage goes.

A Vishnu stage I car performs very similarly to an STi power and acceleration wise, but brakes and handling are seriously lacking without more mods. Also, dollar for dollar, the STi responds just as well if not better than the EJ20 when it comes to power.

yeah, when i mentioned performance, i ws just talking in terms of power and accleration. Speaking of performance as a whole, does anyone know if stoptech big brake kits are worth the money? just wondering becasue ive seen a lot of them lately, and everyone seems to like them alot. I think they run for around $1600. Is it a good investment?
