Thumbs down RSX walks past my wrx on freeway.

Last night i was on 680 and a rsx-s is behind me trying to catch me. and by the time he is right next to me, im going steady at 80. so I down shift to 4th and start pulling away from him. then he starts pulling away from me as i shift into 5th gear. I guess the wrx isnt as fast on the freeway? or maybe his car wasnt stock but it looked stock. so he's ahead of me and waits for me to catch to him and until im side by side with him going steady at 80, i down shift again and pull away and we accelerate the same then i shift in to 5th and thats when he pulls away from me again.

WRX's are slow on the freeway, as the gearing is more suited to around town driving, and getting out of the hole, and corners quickly.

yup, i would've stayed in 4th longer...

but back to the question at hand, the WRX is not a contender on the highway.

hum... thats weird i pulled on a rsx-s just this thursday BAD!

this asshat was in the fastlane and i was going about maybe 10 or less mph catching up to him, as i got close i started to switch into the slow lane to pass him and the car infront of him but this dork thought i was catching up to him or something and droped gear and jumped infront of me so i jumped into 3rd and took him on the onramp merging lane like a clown.

stupid dumb****

Bad gearing, early shifting, AWD static drivetrain loss...

Plus Hondas have decent top end with VVT.

*acts like an old man* don't street race, don't kill yourself, and don't kill others.

There are a lot of turbo RSX's in the Bay Area. Those will walk on mild moded WRX's.
