Exclamation What's that grinding from on my STi???

I need some advice here... here's the story:
I just had all four rotors replaced on my car (longer story), the calipers were worked on, four new brake pads were put on as well - as in, the entire braking system has been either replaced or worked on. Anyway, the problem I'm having is when I'm just engaging the clutch (so rolling forward slowly), or rolling backward (ie. when backing out my driveway) or when I'm manoeuvering around a parking lot - going slow and turning. Anyway, this disgusting grinding sound is coming from somewhere around the tires and I can feel this grinding through the clutch as well. I called up the Service guys who worked on the car, and they told me that the reason for the noise was that there wasn't a lot of room between the rotors and the brake pads so anytime I turn, they are going to grind against each other. Does that make sense? And why the sick sound then? Something doesn't seem right about that. Also, when driving up the curb to my driveway, with the wheels turned, and one front tire above the curb and the other tire just starting to come up, it makes the grossest grinding sound.
Does anyone know what the hell that's all about. Could it be as the dealer says, that it's just the rubbing between brake pad and rotor? Quite the sound if it's true........
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hmmm... sounds odd indeed. When I put some track pads on my Grand National it made much more of squeeling sound than a grind, so that's what I would expect.

I just got back from the dealership, and I was told that it could be the transfer case/tranny. This make sense? They put some grease in there, saying it could be sticking because the pads and rotors were new, but to drive it around for a few days with a lot of turning to make sure the oil was well dispersed. They said if that fixes the problem, then life is good, but otherwise it's the transfer case. This make sense? And how does an STi w/ only 15000kms get this problem?
