What are the odds of gettin my tranny fixed under warranty?

Hi all,
I have a stage 2 WRX with 52k miles. I am getting close to the 60k drivetrain warranty expiration and am wondering if there is any chance I could get my tranny fixed as part of warranty. I can't get it into first unless I am just about stopped, 3rd grinds a bit especially when trying to shift over 3k and reverse is a pain to get into just about all the time, takes about 2-4 trys pumping the clutch to get it into gear. I have never raced my car, I just enjoy it. If anyone has any success stories or friendly dealerships that they know of that would be great, thanks

Go back to stock and you'll be fine.

Good luck. Defrauding the dealership...is...sketchy.

I_FLY_LOW attempted to do it, then got popped for it and was denied his warranty claim after bragging about it on the forums.

lulz.

I can go back to stock w/o too much worry but I think it would be pretty noticeable, really noticeable until I buy a new heat shield. But seriously though, my stage 2 only adds like 30hp cause of a crappy wastegate solenoid. I can't see my going to stage 2 really adding much stress on the tranny. Just kinda annoying, thanks for the replies

Ya, I use a good quality cocktail including shockproof. Last change was less than 10k ago, helped a lot but still having problems.

Damn, are you the original owner?

You might just want to invest in a new gearset RAs?

I am not the original owner, I bought it at 22k and given the condition of certain things I am pretty sure the tranny was abused. The carpet below the clutch pedal has holes in it, prob from fast shifts and I replaced the clutch at about 40k. When that was replace my mechanic told me that the flywheel was warped pretty bad as well. I can remember twice that I've burned the clutch, and I doubt that I caused that much damage. Horray for buying used cars. I probably will end up with RA gears, seems like the best option. Thanks for the help

ya.. dealerships really try hard to look at the tranny and decide to replace it or not.. especially 5 speeds...

www.iaperformance.com

order their gearset and have it put in your tranny case by GST or LIC
