I believe they will replace it in the first year unless there are signs of abuse. Once the clutch is out, it is pretty easy to tell if it has had the snot beat out of it.

what are signs of a faulty clutch? ihave 8000miles on 03wrx and its pretty stiff goin into fifth. i have grinded the gears when i thought i was perfectly shifting goin into third. i dont want to get a big bill after i bring it into subaru and if i do i want an aftermarket clutch. its only been 5 monthes so i should still be covered but i have N1 exhaust muffler. what to do..Hmmm....

I think everyone qualifies

I just got my clutch replaced under warranty @ 35,980 miles. Its a 02' WRX about 1 year and 1 month old. I heard that there is an "unofficial" recall on the clutches. If one brings in their car to the dealer and push a little bit, they will replace all clutches. My clutch was on the way out anyways. Too much drag racing. Would not engage until the top 1/5 of travel. Bad thing is that one has to leave the car overnight so they can "check" it the next morning. Saved me $400 for another 30,000 miles Hell, yea...
