Hey all, My Subaru Liberty 92' FWD has gotten to the point where it becoming a pain in the a** to shift, im pretty sure the 2nd gear synchro is gone, as it will crunch going into 2nd if i do it fast without waiting for it, i have changed my gear oil twice in the last 6 months but no difference, i currently have the Motul Gear 300 in there atm. Should i try changing the oil again to another brand such as Neo or Redline? Or is the synchro gone and needs to be replaced?

Where can i get this oil from? I live in Australia and its very hard to find these oils. What brand is it?

I just put Castrol Multitrax gear oil into my transmission, its semi-synthetic and Subaru uses this oil at the factory in all their cars over here. I took it for a brief test drive after, the shifts did feel smoother, less notchy, and quicker, but it is still apparent that the 2nd gear synchro problem is there, i'll give it a few days then i'll report back.
