Ok guys here's the deal. A friend of mine owns a 2003 Wrx and recently we installed a JDM 5 Speed Type Ra with DCCD, final drive is 4.40. Now we noticed just after we installed it that the tranny started to leak pretty bad, so after doing some checking we noticed that the extension case has a crack on top by one of the corners. Now my question is: Would it be possible to swap the extension case off the old 5 Speed USDM without DCCD (i dont have the controller anyways) and use it with this tranny ? do i have to worry about some kind of gear ratio inside the extension case? because as far as a i know thats where the center differential is at. So if any of u guys understand what im talking about i really appreciate ur help because im on a tight schedulle, my car and this car are registered already for laguna seca on Jan 21st so we are pretty much worry about if the car is gonna make it or not.
