SVX manual swap

I have an svx and the tranny is slowly dying. I want to convert it to manual. If i have access to an older(95-99) legacy or imprezza, can any tell me the parts i would need to get out of it to use in the svx?

oh yea, rite now when my car is in D, it shifts from 1 - 2 but then 2 - 3, it does not, all it does is rev and when i let go off the accelerator then it shifts. This also happens in 3, however in 2, it does not occur and shifts correctly. Anyone have any ideas?

Try just getting it flushed and the filter replaced. Auto trannies are funky about little things, and they do very strange things because of very simple problems sometimes. A flush would be cheap enough to at least buy you some time while you save and research for the swap (which I highly recommend!).

When you do the flush use a trans flush fluid, you can get this from any auto parts place. Then do 3 or 4 drain and refills, this has worked well for me.
