strange noise, help please.
I read as many threads as I could stand...
Just bought a 02 wrx as a project car, looked solid. I have a had a few bad noises... Twice while 'riding' the clutch in a parking lot, back out, turn, pull out slow and some walks out in front, clutch in a little, clutch out, CLUNK@@@ like I ran over something...
Seems to be the same source, I EASE into first at redlight... ease into second, then steady press right down.... Once RPMs get up (4k?) I get a CLUNK... I hear it, I feel it in the seat, I do not feel it in the pedal and Tach doesnt show anything.
Carfax was clean, I am third owner 42k...?
