stock shifter poped out
hey i just thought i would see if this has happened to anyone else. so i was driving and went to shift into 3rd when i feel nothing at all on my shifter. well i was able to find a gear(2nd and like 20 miles from my house) so i drove it back at like 35 mph on the highway. anyways today i took it apart and found out that on the shifter the ball joint poped out. i put it back in but it dosent feel like it should. for those of you that know what im talking about( my description sux unless you have seen it) i was wondering if i should replace the female side of the ball joint?

If it doesn't feel right replace it. I have had this happen before but only after changing my clutch it does'nt feel any different though. So if it feels different replace it there may be a hairline crack in it, after all it is only plastic.

yeah, its obviously not the male end, a new "female" side insert cant be too spendy and that should cure it. Do be careful installing it again, dont want to damage the new one. Use lots of grease and try to get it in with one hard hit from a heavy rubber mallet.
