my understanding is that the Quaife i superior for daily driven vehicles on paved surfaces. since it's helical, there isn't the noise or vibration associated with clutch type LSDs. it also has a much more linear application of the limited slip function (for lack of a better way of putting it). it's not as good on ice or gravel, for the same reasons that it's good on pavement. unlike the suretrac, it will allow a wheel to spin freely on a patch of ice, or when it's i deep gravel, whereas the suretrac won't. if it was my car, i'd go with the quaife.
