STI Short Shifter 5 Speed Question HELP!

I installed the STI Short Shifter on my 07 WRX. The subaru OEM factory short shifter. I feel as though it is rather notchy and takes a bit more effort to put into gear.

Nice short shifts... but seems second is a harder pull down when at higher revs or going up hill and third really notches forward.

I used to have the SS on my 05 STI. Remember it being smoother? Is something to tight? Did I screw something up?

I also used the MOMO and regular shift *****. Same result with both.. It could be that I'm just not used to it being a little stiffer as well. The MOMO ***** seems to be to big and the stock **** is drab... I ordered a Kartboy ****... I hope that was a good bet.

A short shift trades mechanical advantage(leverage) for quicker shifting.

Not sure it's on the Subaru Performance Site. Check it out:
