maybe he broke an axle, I heard of two people doing that last year at one track event.

we've got some locals with 6mt's who've got more races on them than most could even imagine.

Are you sure it was an STi?

6MT's are not idiot proof. They will break when being broken, but they won't break for no reason like 5MT's do.

And yeah, it could have been an axle.

was it stock or moded because more power than 500hp at the crank and dumping clutch is bad

had to be fairly stock to run the times it was running. 500hp would be way down in the 12's at least

at stock power i wouldnt think dumping the clutch would cause it to break because there are many people that do it many times in the sti with no problems

but just because everyone else is doing it doesnt mean it wont hurt it soon or later

one person locally had a problem where he was getting grinding no matter what.

Then again that was after very hard driving and an estimated 300 passes at the track.
