Squeak when depressing clutch pedal

My 05 sti is making a squeaking sound each time I step on the clutch pedal. It seems to come from the spring that is closest to the firewall but even after a liberal amount of grease it still does it. Anyone ever dealt with this before or know how to fix?

I know it's a trivial request but i'd like to fix it.

Thanks

That does work.

And thanks for getting that one out of the way.

no problem, it was gonna happen sooner or later. What kind of grease did you use on it?

My forester had a similar (the same?) problem recently. Sounded like it was coming from the pedal assembly but it was actually the clutch fork. The dealer pulled the tranny, regreased it and everything has been fine since then.

Apparently they didn't bother to grease it when they built the car. Go figure.

I have the same issue on my 09 and its very annoying. My welds are good and I greased the rod above the gas pedal. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My 05 does this as well. I just learned to ignore it, although that vid put up my omardiaz looks like a possible fix.
