I think it lowers the top speed by ~10-15 mph. You won't be able to reach the top speed anyways unless you're illegally speeding on 101 between San Jo and Gilroy, other than that in a 1/4 mile race or on teh track you probably wont reach the top speed
RA Gearset is at roughly 156mph at 7000RPM
Stock gearset is at roughly 168mph at 7000RPM
these are calculations, not actual tests, and I may not have found the correct ratio for the stock 5th gear

well calculated its higher than 130, I don't feel like actually testing it though.
seriously though, when do you go over 130? 65mph by the way is around 3150rpm (right when the turbo starts to spool )

if you're seriously looking into RA gears let me know and you can come down to Monterey and check mine out. No top speed testing, but you can see how the gearing is in daily driving

I run the type-R 5 speed with DCCD and 4.44 diff. My gauge cluster is also jdm so it only reads 180km or 111mph which makes sense since thats where 4th tops out. Ive topped out the speedo needle with revs to spare so 150 sounds reasonable. My 5th gear is low though so when im cruising on the freeway im usually around 3500-4krpm. Youre making a good choice by running a 5 speed. The gearing is better suited for autoX since u wont have to shift as much.
