dont the ra gears keep the same final drive ratios just enhance the strength of the gears?

the shorter the gears (higher the ratio number), the faster the car will accelerate but the slower mph per gear.

Like in my rs I have 4.11's it tops out at 115mph
when i had the 3.90's it toped out at 118mph.

Bump! How much faster do you think they really make your car? I've always wondered this, because I don't drag mine.

On the other site, there was a thread that talked about this. Many posted better 1/4 mile times, but slightly slower 60 footers.

Thanks for the tip, Matt. Here's a thread I came across. There are quite a few on this subject.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ars+1%2F4+mile

There's a kid in another thread that says he's underboosting with the RA gears because there's not enough load applied to the engine with the closer ratio gears...interesting stuff. I hadn't heard about alot of it.
