Need Help Asap

My WRX just froze in 2nd gear. I was drivng and tried to shift from second to third and it froze in second. This was after about 30 min of driving normal. I heard no sounds, and have no loss of connection. I don't race it or shift it hard, other than a mistake here or there. Any clues? I am way annoyed right now.

Would a syncro taking a dump do that to you?
This sounds like a job for a Jer-Dan trailer to tow you to a shop.
You haven't modded out your car have you? That means any dealer service center shouldn't give you a hard time about it under warranty I hope.
Hate to miss you on Sunday

What do you know of the warranty thru Subaru? I have 40,000 miles on my car. Is it still covered?

Also if I get a tow, do I need the bed tow or the 2-wheel drag?

Update. It has been towed. It is at the shop waiting for inspection. probably won't happen till Monday though. Sounds like it could be covered under my powertrain warranty. I'll cross my fingers. My luck has been sour lately.

I just talked to the dealership and they asked me if I speed shift. I said that i dun think so. He then said that he is trying to get in touch with Subaru and see what they say. So any input from anyone?

we all speed shift from time to time. But this is a WRX not a geo. You'ld think it could handle it.

Thanks for the word of advice. Does this sound like Subaru building up a cop out and trying to put the blame on me?

Oh yeah. Funny you should mention the Geo. My prior vehicle was a Geo Metro. I shifted the same way in this car as I did in that car. Funny how its transmission had no problems after 80,000 miles of it.
