I have noticed now on two occasions that the clutch on my XT smells almost immediately when I slip the clutch SLIGHTLY for a tight turn from a stop earlier today, and once before when I backed up on a slight hill for a few feet. The car has never been launched, abused, dragged, or tracked. Are all XT clutches this sensitive to what I consider a slight amount of slippage on a rare occasion? The odor is very noticable for a minute or so. Everything feels OK, but I have never had a stick shift car with this sensitive a clutch.

I have noticed a smell from mine (2003 XS Premium) but have not yet found it. It doesn't last for long. My brakes have a slight smell. The smell I am smelling is like hot brakes and burnt rubber, is that the same you are smelling? It might be my clutch, I do engine brake often.
