My 00 Impreza 2.5 RS Sounds like a Cesna.
I would appreciate it if anybody could shed some light on my situation.
I have a 00 2.5RS and it has approx. 102K. Overtime I have been noticing that the rear-end sounds like a single prop Cesna. The sound is progressively getting worse. I am not sure if it is the tires or my drive axles or differential. Also, when I turn a right corner my brakes rub. I just replaced all brake parts in the rear, thinking this would solve the problem.
Unfortunately, the problem is still their. Also, how often are you suppose to change out the differential oil?
If anyone has advice on this matter please comment.

The rear diff fluid should be changed about every 40K miles.
It sounds like it could be your wheel bearings causing the problem. When they get worn out, they allow play in the hub and wheel, which could cause your brakes to rub on turns. With 102K on the odometer, it is possible that they need changing.

yea im experiencing the same thing... but my rear wheels/bearings are as tight as can be. no play at all... i changed the diff fluid to see if taht helped but no deal... is it still possible that it could be the wheel bearings w/o any play in them? what else could it be?
