Ok I did a search and didn't really see what I was looking for. So I bought the kartboy short shifter for my 03 wrx. I put it in but I think it's the wrong size. What I mean by wrong size is that when I put the bushings from the stock shifter into the barrel of the KB SS and then put the silver tube (is that a bearing?) the silver tube sticks out at both ends. I put the bolt in and attached it to the shift fork (that's what it's called right) the thing shifts fine but I just nitced when I had the shift boot off that when pushing the stick left and right there is a lot play because the the KB SS slides left and right since it's smaller than the stock shifter. Is this gonna be a problem or should I take back the shifter and see if I can get a properly sized one?

You may have somehow gotten the version that fits the older Imprezas (97-01) which is narrower. If you bought it new contact the vendor you purchased it from and describe your problem, they should exchange it for you.
