My 93 has begun exhibiting a problem that I haven't seen for about 10 years. When I purchased the car new in 1993, the clutch would slip periodically under hard acceleration. I brought it back to the Dealer about 10 times (*@$# !!!) before they finally agreed to replace the clutch at ~6000 miles. The first day with the new clutch... it slipped as well.

The problem seemed to be preceeded by a stiffening up of the clutch pedal as if the hydraulic pressure was increasing. I looked at the clutch pedal assembly and saw it had threaded adjusters. I dialed in some slack and the clutch was fine... until now.

Nearly 10 years later the clutch has started doing the same thing. After a long drive onthe freeway, I notice the pedal loses its slight freeplay and gets very stiff. Then the clutch starts slipping under heavy load.

The car has 96,000 miles on it. I am almost positive that the clutch is fine as it doesn't slip unless the clutch pedal exhibits the strange stiffening effect.

Has anyone experienced this problem?
