Heavy Clutch Pedal

I have a 2002 WRX with 75K miles on it... I have recently been test driving new cars and did not realize how hard I have to push the clutch pedal on my WRX relative to the other cars. (Must have gotten progressively worse over time). I have a little clutch shudder at take off but I have not experienced any slippage. I do not plan on trading the Subie so I am wondering if I need to get it fixed...

Anyone have a similar problem? What did it take to get it repaired?
Thanks

I've got 76k+ miles on my '02 WRX and the clutch pedal pressure feels the same to me. I've driven cars with much lighter pedal pressure (older Hondas - so easy I could depress the pedal with two fingers) and heavier pedals (aftermarket Borg & Beck-style pressure plate on a Chevy). Pedal pressure is non-adjustable. It is determined by the clutch pressure plate design unless something in the pedal linkage is binding.

Find another WRX and compare clutch pedal pressure to be sure that yours really requires more pressure than normal.
