Exedy clutch/flywheel install problem, help!
hey guys i am having problems with my new EXEDY Cerametallic Clutch and lightened flywheel. first of all i wanted to do this myself but i dont have the lift,so i took it to a redneck transmission shop. they have had my car since thursday and today they finally put it together.
PROBLEM: the clutch petal wont engage.
they claim the flywheel is so thin that the clutch can reach it.
i went there to so they could explain to me what is goign on but they left before i got there.
1. what could have these guys screwed up on?
2. does exedy clutch/flywheel have different sizes? Exedy is subaru's stock clutch.
i wish i knew what else what wrong but they wouldnt tell me....
3. are there issues with other people when installing a new clutch/flywheel?

the transmission place f-ed you over. Sorry to say. I had this problem and I contacted Dakin/Exedy. The first thing they asked was this a certified Exedy installer (never knew of such a thing). If you check their website out, a slight bit of error will offset what looked simple.
A sure sign was the delay of installation. it should of been a day, max.

The local tranny guy "BOB" said that the clutch release bearing that came with the clutch is bad....????....... gee i wonder if the real reason is that he doesnt know what's going on!!
