From: EBAIC- Wondering if I should have taken the blue pill...
Car Info: 03 WRX wagon type RA
I had Gruppe-S install this along with RA gears and an ACT Streetlite fly about 1500 miles ago. The pedal feel is close to stock, just a hair on the firmer side. My car is not putting out nearly what yours is (I'm closer to 290hp at the fly) but I think it's safe to say that this is a good mild upgrade from the stock clutch. Here's Gruppe-S's specs on the Exedy sport clutch...

Torque Capacity Increase 44%
Clamp Load (lb): 2300
Spline Teeth / Major Dia (mm): 24T / 25.2
Disc O. D. (mm): 230
Lightweight Flywheel Part Number: FF01
Weight (lb): 14.3

Based on this info the torque capacity increase over stock is roughly 320-330hlb/tq at the crank, and factoring in a 25% drivetrain loss that puts it down to around 245lb/tq at the wheels. As far as I know, that's the MAX torque you should be running through this clutch. I would recommend looking into a more aggresive clutch if you plan squeezing more horsies out of your engine.

Anyone else, please feel free to correct any of my mistakes if this is not right.

Exedy is the number one selling clutch in japan and the best for AWD cars. nuff said. I have one, great clutch no problems. I am sure you would be happy with an ACT as well. You really can't go wrong with either one.
