When I picked up my vehicle this morning, I definately noticed a difference with the clutch pickup and disengagement. Overall, a lighter (better) feel than the last clutch. Other than this peddle feel, will I see any other benefits besides the obvious fix for the clutch shudder?

parts ordered.
I took my 2002 IMP into service yesterday here in TN. They drove it and could not duplicate the problem. After I asked about the service bulletin they said they would check into it a little more. They called me 2 hours later and told me that the parts were ordered and they would call me ASAP in order to bring it in for repair. 29,600 miles all parts on bulletin ordered to be installed. Another happy customer!!!

Yes, my car was originally purchased from Livermore Subaru. The original owner complained of clutch problems around 2000 miles. They replaced the whole assembly. This is on my 02' before the TSB existed I think.

I took my car to my dealership and they said that all of us didn't really have a prob and that the tsb report didn't matter. However, i took someone's advice and went to a different dealer and told them the prob. The guys there said that they didn't even need to look at it cuz there's a report out on it. They just ordered me the parts and told me they would call when they get it. I was very very happy and impressed. If any of you live in the chicago suburbs, go to bredemann subaru for this prob. They will hook you up.

I have a 2002 WRX......with about 18,000 miles.
I got the clutch judder a while ago.....maybe a little less than 10,000 miles on it when I started experiencing it.
I just saw this i-club post about everyone having the problem.
So I checked out that web link to that "Technical Service Bulletin", printed it out. Took it to the dealer and showed them ( Balboa Subaru in San Diego).......they seemed to have known about the problem.....and they are ordering me a new clutch as we speak.

I just picked up my 02 WRX Wagon the other day from the dealer for the clutch shudder problem. Right away I noticed a less pronounced shudder in reverse and when starting out in first gear. I brought it back the next morning to tell them the problem was still there and the service manager told be he noticed a small shudder as well on the test drive and he told me that this should go away after the break in process. He told me to bring it back after 2K miles if it persisted. He said the parts have to "mesh together" during the breakin period. I am skeptical since every post I read on this thread there is no mention of the problem still persisting. THe dealer also told me they had only performed this service on one other WRX before for the clutch shudder problem. My car has 31K miles so I didn't need a new flywheel but here are the part numbers I received. I was just looking for a little guidance on what I should do...Thanks for any feedback.
