Clutch pedal squeak

I have an 05 with less than 5000miles...and my clutch pedal squeaks everytime I push on it. Does anyone else have this? And if I bring it to Carlson will they do something about it other than putting some WD40 on the pivot?

Mine does too. Just lube the pivot and perhaps put some graphite in the cable sleeve.

I've tried a million things, when I brought it to the dealer they said they all do it so mine didn't justify a fix......I tried Fords "mini window vent lube" and that did ok, but I had to take it appart and really get it in there. In the long run it came back in a few thousand miles anyway.

Just an aside: Don't use WD-40 to lubricate anything. While it feels slippery, it also degrades some rubber and plastic materials. I use it only as a thread penetrant like Liquid Wrench. If you need a spray lubricant, try a silicone or Teflon®-impregnated aerosol - check the label because many of these are safe for use on almost anything (except fabric) on a car.

As for the squeak, try to isolate the exact source of the noise. If it is just the pivot point underneath the dash, that should be a simple fix with a shot of spray lube or a dab of grease. If it's the cable itself, or originates at the clutch or throwout bearing, that might require more work to solve.
